About Monnem Pride
This is Monnem Pride
CSD Mannheim, a permanent fixture in the city's calendar, is a platform for celebrating the diversity of the lsbtiq+ community (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, inter, queer) and sending a strong signal for equal rights, acceptance and visibility.
Der CSD Mannheim, oder auch die Monnem Pride, wird durch die Stadt Mannheim gefördert.

This year's Monnem Pride will take place on July 12.
The Queere Zentrum Mannheim e.V. (QZM) took over the organization of the CSD in Mannheim in 2024. This decision marks a new chapter in the history of CSD celebrations in the region, which are realized in close cooperation with the local queer community. The transparent process allows a diverse group of interested parties to be addressed, involved and represented.
From 2025, the newly founded association “Monnem Pride” will take over the organization in order to build a democratic, sustainable, barrier-free and stable structure. The aim is to invite all groups of the LGBTIQA+ community to actively participate in the dialog in order to promote social discussion in the public sphere, involve the city (society) and integrate these topics into everyday life.
This will enable the CSD and, in the long term, Pride Month to become a flagship event for the diverse city of Mannheim.
2024: New start and cornerstone of the roadmap on the way to Pride 2030 - What's different?
After the last few years, a new Pride is now setting out to sustainably secure and strengthen acceptance of diversity and social cohesion in the city of Mannheim.
With our new concept and strategy, we are focusing in particular on the following sustainability dimensions:
Environment, social affairs, economy and culture.
We ensure social and cultural participation through, among other things
- fair pricing,
- a quiet place (quiet areas for participants),
- a quiet group in the Monnem Pride march,
- Low-threshold access: barrier-free access incl. wheelchair-accessible stage, restroom for all, sign language interpretation, information in simple language, several languages...
- Responsible consumption. This also means sustainable concepts both in the supply chain and in the food offered by restaurateurs, food (organic, local, vegan & vegetarian, fair wages & good working atmosphere)
- Safety & awareness for all participants
- Continuous and low-threshold participation process in the organization of CSD 2024 and in the development of a vision for CSD 2030
What should change by 2030?
So far, the demonstration has ended at the Ehrenhof. In the long term, Monnem Pride is set to move to the city center.
A Pride “festival” - over a week of “Monnem Pride Fest” in the city center ... maybe even longer
For the CSD, an opening into the urban society through new central action areas and venues in the middle of the pedestrian zone is intended to encourage and promote exchange and education.
Viel Spaß beim Stolz für alle 🙂
